dc.description.abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze "The Problem of Change" and to investigate a possible solution that solves the problem. To achieve this end two rival analytical approaches, namely endurance theory and perdurance theory, are examined. It is concluded that both approaches cannot satisfactorily solves the problem because of different reasons. However endurance theory has a significant advantage, which is the ability to capture our intuitions better about change. Hence I attempted to construct a new account, namely "The Theory of Time as Relations." This account treats time moments as relations. It maintains that a material object can have a property only by bearing a time-moment relation to that property. Then I compared it with the other solutions. Finally, although time as relations account cannot solve the problem of change completely, it is argued that it was a fruitful account and open to become an accurate solution, at least, a support for an accurate solution.
