dc.description.abstract The subject matter of this thesis is Heidegger’s reading of Kant with temporality as the central concern. Heidegger interprets Kant’s project in Critique of Pure Reason as an ontological inquiry and appreciates Kant for giving imagination and temporality central roles. Thus, in this study, Heidegger’s interpretation of Kant in terms of temporality and Heidegger’s own understanding of temporality is established. Furthermore, Heidegger’s fundamental ontology and existential analytic of Dasein is presented, as they are fundamental for understanding the significance of Heideggerian temporality.
