dc.description.abstract Recently, sustainability of water resources gained a lot of attention due to the lack of the resources, overpopulation and over industrialization throughout the world. In this regard, universities give support to their students, providing a more livable environment by taking environmentally friendly and economically practical precautions. Considering sustainability concept, Sarıtepe-Kilyos campus at Bogazici University in Turkey is one of the pioneers in developing a sustainable campus. It has a current population of 1500 which is a growing trend. Moreover, the water demand of the campus is supplied by groundwater and water tankers from ISKI. Therefore, increase in population, reduction in the level of groundwater and economic problems associated with the water tankers led to the water challenges in terms of quantity and sustainability on this campus. The aim of this study is to analyze the state of current and future water management of the Sarıtepe-Kilyos campus in terms of sustainability and recommend feasible and sustainable water practices to achieve a more sustainable campus by 2030. Both water and wastewater cycles in Sarıtepe-Kilyos campus have been studied to achieve the most applicable solutions. Based on the type of water and wastewater resources, different and feasible green infrastructure systems including usage of graywater systems, effective use of potable water of the existing buildings, collection of rainwater, desalination, preservation and improvement of groundwater resource and installation of water meters were introduced and proposed to overcome the water shortage on the campus and to improve the campus in terms of water sustainability by 2030.
